Bob Ross & Painting

You might be wondering how, I’m going to make a Bob Ross costume sexy…so hear me out! This one is easy to check the SFW box and it’s a bit more humorous, It takes a little more work, but I think you’ll be thoroughly impressed at how we made it sexy! You can split the roles however you want, so just read my idea and take it from there!

Daytime

Person 1:  You are the Bob Ross painting. You can order a Bob Ross print from Amazon or get a landscape painting from the thrift store. A mountain painting with a gold frame would be perfect. Make sure the painting is framed or on canvas. Then attached a rope that goes around it, so the painting can hang from your neck. Dress in a simple monochromatic outfit, essentially you’re the easel. 

Person 2: You are Bob Ross, himself, and the most important element of this costume is your hair. Unless you’re blessed with a curly brown afro, you will need to order a wig. Wear blue jeans and a white button down. 

You will also need a paint pallet, a couple paint brushes, and acrylic paint. The day before, put some paint on your pallette, then take the brush and make the pallet look used. Mess the paint around a bit and maybe put a little on your partner’s costume. Then wash your brush, but don’t wash the pallet. Let it dry with the paint on it. This way you’ll have a mess free paint pallet while you’re out!

Nighttime

Person 1:  Remember you’re a painting, but we’re going to make you a body painting. Guys you can just take your shirt off. Ladies, I recommend getting a cheap nude colored bra or bralette. Get something comfortable. Find a comfortable bottom that you’re not worried about getting ruined – sweats, old jeans, shorts, skirt, etc . You may want to assist your partner with this next part. 

Person 2: Your daytime Bob Ross outfit is perfect. Your job here is to paint your partner. For the health and safety of you both, order some liquid body paint. Paint the other person’s skin to look like a Bob Ross painting. They should be wearing a bra or bralette that can be painted over. If you’re going to a really spicy party, bring your paints along and let other party guests add to your masterpiece and participate in the body painting.  

King & Queen of the Underworld

I once saw a couple do an underworld costume and thought it was really sexy and unique! I love a unique costume that showcases your creativity. There is a movie called Underworld, that you could watch and base your costumes off of or just come up with your own. Imagine being the King & Queen of the Underworld. What would you dress like? 

Daytime

Both of you:  For this costume, you have a lot of freedom as to what you wear! Think black, leather and latex! If you’re wearing this to work, you probably just need to make sure you’re fully clothed! When you get to the NSFW option, you might not be so covered. Search through your own closet for any black boots, leather jackets, black pants, black shirts, corsets,  black zipper items, or even motorcycle attire.  Put this together in an outfit that has several layers. 

You can keep your natural hair color, but I do think dark hair or an edgy red will suit it best. You can find a wig or do a temporary hair color, if you’re feel really wild. Ladies, I think it could be back in a ponytail or down and guys, I’d go for a slick back look if you can.

Accessories can include: black gothic style crowns, black staff or walking cane, choker necklace, black raven, cape, or trench coat. 

Nighttime

Ladies:  This is a fun  NSFW costume! You can really go crazy if you want to, depending on the type of party you’re attending. Mariemur is one of my favorite places to find this type of attire.  I’m thinking bondage wear, latex, leather corsets, thigh high leather boots, chain jewelry, and zippers. I think dark eye makeup and dark lipstick will really round it off. I have so many ideas for this that I’m just going to put some pictures below, so you can really see what I mean. Hopefully you get a really good idea for putting together your hot, sexy, evil Queen of the Underworld costume. 

Gents: I love this costume for guys as well! Often times, the men have a less interesting part in a couple’s costume, but this one is very equal. You can pull together a really dark and dangerous costume. Black leather pants would be perfect, but some black skinny jeans will also work. Black leather boots and a black leather jacket are also a must. Go shirtless, since you have a jacket, but adorn yourself underneath with a bondage cage for men or with a lot of chain jewelry.

Barbie & Ken

Barbie is going to be a big costume this year! It’s one that I’ve always thought was fun and it really does hit the SFW, kid friendly and recognizable costume categories. Your daytime costume can be traditional barbie or weird barbie, if that’s more your vibe. The nighttime, lingerie versions are where I really had some fun! 

Daytime

Barbie:  We all know stereotypical Barbie and if you need a reminder, I highly recommend you watch the movie! The easiest way to dress as Barbie is to go pink! A girly pink dress, pink heels, pink purse, girly makeup and done hair are the perfect way to go. Something with frills 

Ken: Ken typically matches barbie and wears bright colors. Some bright flowery shorts, a button down or tank will work perfectly with some white tennis shoes.

Nighttime

Barbie:  Barbie is a really fun outfit to take  NSFW. There are several levels you could do this at. You could go full lingerie with tights and heels or keep it a little more covered. A tight mini skirt or pencil skirt with a pink corset or bra top with pink stilettos will pull the costume together. If you need a jacket try something fur or jean! Another nighttime Barbie costume is Beach Barbie! Beach Barbie was always so glamorous and had a full beach outfit. Depending on where you live or where the party is beach barbie might be the most fun!

Ken: The best NSFW Ken costume is lifeguard Ken, which goes perfectly with Beach Barbie. You’ll just need some lifeguard accessories and red swim shorts! These are all things you can easily find online!  

Devil & Angel

Opposites attract. This is another great costume that is easy to pull together at the last minute! It’s a common one, but can be done in so many different ways that you’ll still stand out!

Daytime

Devil:  If you’re dressing as the devil, think of being red and spicy! A full red outfit and a cape works fantastically. Guys, think of red trousers and a red button up. Ladies, a red dress or skirt and top work perfectly. Since this is a SFW costume, just about anything that is red will work. Accessories will make this costume, so get a devil kit! You’ll certainly want a tail, horns and pitchfork.

Angel: As an angel, dress in gold, silver, white and cream. Just like the devil, any outfit will do. Guys a white button down, with light colored trousers will be perfect. Ladies, a dress, skirt, or pantsuit will look great.  Think of angels and being flowy and radiant, so anything that’s loose and spacious will be perfect!  Accessories also make this costume! You’ll need some wings and a halo!

Nighttime

Devil:  This is the time to make your costume a little sexier! A red cape is a great devil accessory and then a sexier outfit underneath. Guys this can look like removing your shirt or unbuttoning it. It could also mean a red leather body cage under the cape. Ladies, you’ll definitely be able to find a really tight dress, red tights and some red heels or boots! You can also go the lingerie route and pair that with your devil accessories! When it comes to a NSFW costume, just about anything that shows off some skin will work!

Angel: Ladies, I love a white lingerie set or babydoll for an angel costume. Bride sets are perfect for this and most lingerie brands have a bridal line! They always fit the feminine and delicate vibe that angel energy calls for. Guys, if you’re the angel, your SFW outfit will still work. If you want it to be more NSFW, try white boxers or silk pajamas! Last but not least, don’t forget your halo and wings.
